What’s onWe’re building momentum now and would love to see you at upcoming events. | ||
![]() Democracy Noir — Film Screening & DiscussionWhen: Saturday 10 October, 2:30pm to 5:30pm Democracy Noir: A New Dawn tells the inspiring story of resistance in Hungary to Viktor Orbán’s regime and of his stunning defeat. Our film tells this story through the brave activism of its three subjects — opposition politician Tímea Szabo, journalist Babett Oroszi, and nurse Nikoletta (Niko) Antal. We plan to watch the film (2 hours), followed by an hour of discussion (with nibbles and drinks) into the film’s insights that may be useful to Fairfax Matters.

![]() Remarkable Women – Pot Luck Lunch and ConversationWhen: Thursday 22 October, 11:30am to 2:00pm We’ve held a series of pot lunches entitled Difficult Women around the theme: “Difficult women courageous and kind, women change the world.” We’ve transitioned to invite REMARKABLE WOMEN (yes that’s you!) to focus on advocacy and policy development about an issue we’ll all identify as a priority for women and girls. We get together in small community halls for a pot lunch. Join us for conversations and fun over a delicious meal. We are interested in you and your priorities – in life, politics and as a woman or girl.
