The AGM of Fairfax Matters Inc will look at where have we been, where are we now, and where to we need to be. How do we assess the issues that confront Fairfax residents. How do we engage.

Our message is people not parties and at the center of community engagement.

2028 elections are less than 2 years away.

The formal stuff needed by our Incorporated Association will take just 10 minutes. Come and be inspired by the 3 short talks by our members.

Note:

  • Two nominations have already been received. The acting Treasurer, Hugh Butler, has been nominated for the Treasurer role. Linda Taylor has been nominated for the Chair role.
  • The intention is to have up to a dozen people on the committee. They will be confirmed immediately following the formal AGM. They will have a passion for change, and might lead a program of hub engagement, communication and marketing, housing, renewable energy, homelessness, cost of living, over 65 engagement or focusing on the younger GenX residents.
  • Already nominated are area hub leads Annie Nolan, France Zirkler & Linda Taylor. We need someone for Nambour and Mapleton and other communities. Marissa Bartlett is interested in developing policy.
  • Could you help lead communications, social media or fundraising?
